Overview

Our General English courses are designed for international students who want to improve their fluency, accuracy and confidence in speaking English and are suitable for students at any level of English. SEA English Academy is committed to small class teaching to better take care of every student, with an average of 12 students per class and a maximum of 18 students. Our courses will also develop English language skills, which are essential for future study, work or personal interests.

Entry Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Provide a valid identification (e.g. passport)
  • Provide an English test result (IELTS, TOFEL, PTE, etc.) or wish to take an SEA English placement test

Sessions

Morning Session: (09:00 – 14:30 Monday to Thursday)
Evening Session: (17:30 – 21:30 Monday to Friday)
Course Levels: 10 weeks for each level.

JOB READY PROGRAM IN AUSTRALIA

Job Ready Program

This Job Ready Program is designed to help working holiday visa holders improve their English skills in a short period of time while studying with our partners to obtain ASQA-accredited certificates in the hospitality industry. After completing approximately four weeks of the program, students will have the opportunity to get job interview opportunities provided by Workforce Extension Melbourne CBD.

Week 1 to Week 3 (Every Monday to Wednesday – 9:00 am to 2:30 pm)

General English focused vocabulary and grammar

 

Week 1 to Week 3 (Every Thursday)

Hospitality and Barista focused English

Scenario-based questions and role play

Topic-focused vocabulary

Reading comprehension with real life scenarios

 

Week 4

SITSS00068 – Food Handling Certificate (Hospitality)

SITSS00069 – Food Safety Supervision Certificate (Hospitality)

SITSS00071 – Responsible Service of Alcohol (Hospitality) (RSA)

Certificate trainings are provided by Mercury Institute of Victoria (MIV)

 

Half-day barista practical workshop (Provided by the Australian Barista School)
